The safety of our passengers is paramount. Trips do not operate if deemed to be of no scenic value or unsafe to operate. Weather and lake conditions are checked before each trip and a deciscion is made by the lead guide. As such some trips may not operate as scheduled. An alternative trip time or full refund before departure is offered when this occurs.
The 20 minute alpine walk is along a well maintained gravel track. Walking shoes are recommended as footwear of choice.
We have 3 boats which take 13 passengers and 1 boat which take 9 passengers
Cancellation Policy: Within 48 hours before departure - loss of 50% of the total price. Within 24 hours before departure - loss of 100% of the total price. There is no fee to cancel or ammend your booking outside 48 hours prior to your trip.
Weather Policy: 100% refund in full if the trip is pre paid, and cancelled due to bad weather and 50% refundable if trip departed but shortened due to safety issues that arise on the water.
Layers on top (warm and waterproof), sunblock, sunhat and sunglasses, long pants and walking shoes. Be prepared for the elements like our guide Tim below!
Your safety is our first and foremost consideration. Our guides are extensively trained and we operate to the highest safety standards at all times. Please be aware the proximity of boats to the glacier or icebergs is completely up to the discretion of the guide on the day as a direct result of glacier/iceberg/underwater ice sheet stability and weather conditions.
